Guest author, Berengaria Brown

Please welcome author,

Berengaria Brown

~Who is Berengaria?~

Variety is the spice of life. Berengaria Brown loves reading erotic romance, all different kinds of erotic romance. Two men, two women, two men and a woman, three men—
But since her favorite authors could not write as fast as she could read, one day Berengaria decided to try writing a book herself. While she was waiting to hear back from the publisher she wrote another one, and another one. Now Berengaria is a multi-published author with books right across the spectrum of erotic romance. Whatever your taste, Berengaria has a book for you.

~Tasty tidbits about Berengaria~

What is your favorite color?
Green. It speaks to me of grass and trees. Of freedom and relaxation.
Have you ever gone commando (no underwear)?
Absolutely!

~Q&A with Berengaria~

What genre/s do you write?

Because I like to read all different genres, I write across the genres too.  Most of my books are contemporary-set but several of them include paranormal elements, mostly ghosts, although I also have a werewolf coming out for Halloween. I also have a couple of Regency-set historicals coming soon. Most of my books are MMF ménage, but I also have a couple of lesbian erotic stories, one straight MF book, and an MMM. The werewolf is MM.

What made you decide to write the genre you do?

The characters dictate the stories. Likely the Regency-set books are because I have been a fan of Georgette Heyer for many years, but the ghosts just arrived. I was writing a straight MMF contemporary and the ghost just turned up and took over the book. When I decided to write a second book in that world, the ghost informed me that I was actually writing the story of one his relatives, and sure enough, another ghost appeared.

What is your latest book about? When did/does it come out?

Loving Lydia”, is an f/f contemporary story which released on September 17th, 2010 from Breathless Press.

Tammy's sights are set and goals targeted. With one thing on her mind - Lydia - she will stop at nothing to satisfy every craving her body has for the seductive female, including showing up at the same gym for a chance encounter.

Lydia's career is in her pocket. Successful, motivated, and driven, Lydia realizes she wants more out of life than just her job. Aware of Tammy's intentions, Lydia decides to play along, at least until a cup of steaming hot coffee turns into a passionate night. Can she split her life between her career and Tammy?

Will Tammy be able to quench her thirst for Lydia with one night of hot sex, or will she be left wanting more?

What are your thoughts on eBook piracy?
It is illegal. People caught and prosecuted are eligible for up to 5 years in federal prison and a fine of $250,000. (http://www.fbi.gov/ipr/). I wish people who simply think they are “sharing” realized they are taking the bread out of the mouths of authors, cover artists, editors and an entire industry, and understood just how selfish and short-sighted their actions are.

If you could go on a date with anyone (and I mean anyone) who would it be and why?

James Bond. I have adored him since I first read Ian Fleming as a ten year old. Sean Connery, George LazenbyRoger MooreTimothy DaltonPierce BrosnanDaniel Craig; all are totally delicious. Any of them would do. We would drive off in an Aston Martin, at high speed, and go somewhere outstanding for a delicious meal.  He would have a martini, shaken, not stirred, and I would try very hard not to drool at him. During the evening someone would try to kill him but he would pull out a gadget that would let us escape and I would drive our getaway car. I’ve always wanted to drive a really expensive car recklessly, because I would be able to go the wrong way down one-way streets and maybe even drive it on water or leap it off a building. It would be awesome! We would, of course, end up in bed for the best sex of my life.

What is your writing day like?

Sadly, like so many other authors, I have a day job that pays the bills. So first thing in the mornings I check my email and may have a little time to read blogs or talk on chat loops. In the evenings I answer emails again, read blogs, chat on the loops and write. My stories need to be clear in my head before I actually write them, so there are times when I am mulling over characters and plot, rather than getting words on the screen.

Do you have a favorite author/s?

Apart from Georgette Heyer and Ian Fleming who I have already mentioned, I like JK Rowling, and all the usual romance authors. Jaid Black was the first erotic romance author I discovered, and she opened a whole new genre to me.

Do you think there is a difference between making love and having sex?

Absolutely. Having sex is scratching an itch and hopefully all the parties involved find it good. Making love involves the head, and all the emotions, as well as the various body parts. It is deeper, and longer lasting, and the orgasms are just one aspect of it.

What is your current project?

Complexity”, which is set in the same world as “Intensity”  released 1 September from Siren BookStrand.

An asthmatic unwilling to relax enough to enjoy life, two men hell-bent on putting their stamp on her, an embezzler who wants to keep what he has stolen, and the ghost of a murdered girl. Will an endless night of passion with Finn and Simeon be pure pleasure, or only make Tia’s life more complex and messy than it already is?

Tia agrees to a night of unbelievably hot sex with Finn and Simeon, and is beginning to think she may have a future with them. Especially when the ghost makes her realize that her asthma is not nearly as bad as it used to be.

But the two men are so protective they don’t want her to help the ghost. And Tia never breaks her promises. Will frequent acrobatic sex be a solution or just add to the complexity?

Do you have any series out? If so what is it about?

It is not exactly a series, but “Intensity” and “Complexity” are set in the same world, the Smith Tower. And there is another book coming out in that world in December, called “Eternity”. Each book is a standalone story with a heroine and two heroes, but some of the same secondary characters wander through the other books, and each of the triads appears in the later books, after their own story has been told.

I want to thank Berengaria for taking the time to answer these questions.
